Piper likes to call us names.

Lately, while we have been swimming, Piper has been calling us names. I thought I would share a few of her favorites. Today Tiffany threw the ball to Piper and the throw was not a good one. Piper yelled at her "You imbecile"!!! She also uses "Crazy Hag Fish", "Fat Face" and "Skunk Bag". Ah, she is so lovely :)

Piper Wisdom

I am a huge Steve Martin fan. I just love him. When I was a kid I used to watch "The Man with Two Brains" and "All of Me" quite a bit and now as an adult those 2 and a few other Steve Martin films are some of my favorites :) A few days ago I was talking to my husband. He said that the last time he took Piper to the music store she had been really interested in the Banjos they had there. I said "You know who plays the banjo"?? ( i was thinking Steve Martin) and Piper chimes in "Hillbillies"!!!

I love my mother. For Mothers day we got to go and spend a couple of nights over at her house. My youngest sister and her husband came. I brought Piper and Tiffany too. When my mom and I get together we like to play cards, we like to drink wine, and we always share a ton of laughs. My moms boyfriend, Tom, was out of town that weekend and he had called to talk to her the first evening. My mom and I had each had a glass or two of wine. Piper got on the phone with him to say hello and mom, Tiffany and I were laughing and giggling in the background. Piper was clearly annoyed that we were not being silent. She gave us a dirty look and then we heard he tell Tom "I don't know, they've been drinking A LOT of wine though"!!!

That cracked us up a bit.

Then the next night the 6 of us (Piper, Tiffany, Bridget, Andy, Me and Mom) were again having a drink or two and we were playing a game we had never tried. It was called "Catch Phrase" and it was a ton of fun. We are game people :) Mom stopped to take a drink and since the game was stopped for a minute we all took the chance to take a drink. Piper then blurts out "When Grammy drinks, EVERYBODY drinks"!!! We all lost it. Between the game and Piper, my stomache hurt from laughing so hard.

The Famous Bologna Stone and 80 dollar cookies...

I was talking to my mom last week and we were discussing overseas travel options. I have always wanted to see Ireland. It looks beautiful, plus we are Irish :) I said we should all go visit Ireland and Piper chimed in, "Yeah, then we can go kiss the famous Bologna Stone"!!! She sounded excited too. We had a good laugh over that.

Piper is absolutely OBSESSED with getting eighty dollars. She is willing to earn it, I'll give her that. But to her "earning" it means if she puts her shoes in the closet she expects money. If she brushes her teeth she expects money. If she eats her dinner... well you get it :) She wants the $80 for this big stuffed giant White Tiger that currently resides at Hallmark.

Piper has several schemes for getting the money she needs. She has picked a few of the smallest and least played with toys from her room and suggested we sell those for eighty bucks a piece. I have tried to tell her in a nice way, that her crap isn't worth that much. But she is determined and told me about her newest big idea. It all starts with cookies and lemonade. She says she will start up a lemonade stand this summer. Her plan is to sell homemade cookies for a dollar each. Reasonable, I think. But then she said that when they are thirsty from eating the cookie they just bought from her on a nice hot summer day, she will charge them 80 bucks for the lemonade!!! The old bait and switch. This kids a genius. Yes, an evil genius, but a genius none the less :D

It's been another interesting week around here.

The spring weather has been yucky, but we have gotten outside a little. Here is my proof :)

It's been a year?? I can't believe it. But I checked in today and looked at all the funny things I have posted that Piper said and I had already forgotten. I need to keep this updated better and I will because I loved to look back on my posts. I promise myself!!
