Busy days and funny stuff.
Lately it seems I have been telling Piper "Moomies just know these things" a little too much. A week or so ago Piper and I were coming home from town. I pulled into the garage and went around the car and opened her door so she could get out. She said "I wanted to get out sissys side". I told her "I'm sorry sweetie, I didn't know" (See where this is going??) She told me, obliously fed up with me "I thought you said Mommies just know these things"!!!
Now this morning on the way to school there were two flaggers on the sides of the road. After we had driven by Piper said to me "That sign said SLOW". I asked her if she knew that because she had sounded it out. She replied "No, little girls just know these things"!!! That girl is a total riot :)

Crazy new game.
Last week we got a card in the mail for Piper from the mall kids club she is a member of. She asked me what it was (this was after she had just played the "Dead Body Game" with Tiffy) and I explained to her that the next time we were at the mall we would take in the card and she would get a birthday gift. She very excitedly replied "(Gasp) Maybe it will be a REAL dead body"!!!
What am I going to do with this girl??

Piper is so funny...
Last night Piper, Tiffany and I were all sitting in the living room watching TV and Piper checked for her "blinter". It was gone and that was a big deal. She pointed it out to us and said"Look, my Blinter is gone. Wow, I'm lucky as hell"!!!
I about fell off the couch laughing :o

Grammy's visit.
My mom came to visit last weekend. It is always so nice to have her here. Usually when I am on the phone with her Piper will ask after I hang up, "Is Grammy on her way here"? So I know Piper was excited too.
Mom and I went to the store one afternoon and I went to get us all drinks. Well the lines were all very long and it took me forever to get back over to where they were browsing. When I got back my mom informed me that I had been gone so long that she asked Piper "Where did moomy go off to?? Timbuktu"?? And Piper replied to her "Yeah, or mabe Timbuk-three"!!! We got a really good laugh out of that one.
On tuesday our new sneakie snake arrived. She had a long trip from Ohio. I thought she would be about as big around as a pencil. She got here and is SOOO much tinier than I ever thought. She is about as big around as a ponytail holder and is only about 6 inches long. Ah, but she is just far to freaking adorable. You know, if you like that kind of thing. I know snakes creep mom out. But I just love her to death already. Big brown eyes and little bitty flicking tongue. So sweet. She is a garter snake. I have not named her yet. Any ideas??
For everyone who reads this that are not my mom, here is the story of my original "Sneakie Snake". I was seeing a man who had a young son. He was 7 or 8 at the time. (The son, not the guy I was seeing :o LOL) The boy brought home two garter snakes he had caught earlier that day. I have never been scared of snakes, but I did not want to keep these because I was afraid they would die. I just didn't know enough about them. But we went ahead and kept them anyway. I ended up totally attached to the one I called Sneakie Snake (after a childhood snake toy). She was perfect. I took her to town in my purse. She ate from my hand only. She actually was out wandering around the house often. Mom loved visiting then, HaHa. But she got cancer. I took her to a vet who ended up doing surgery on her. That gave her an extra 6 months or so, which I was very happy to have. But she died in May of 2004. It took me a long time to feel "ready" to have a new snake. Here she is about January of 2004...
So that is all for now :)

My funny girl :)
We went to lowes after that. We usually spend quite a bit of time there. We were looking at the outdoor furniture and Piper ran around behind the chair I was sitting in. Her shoes slipped on the slick floor and she fell. She smashed her right cheek bone and left arm onto the concrete floor really hard. I actually could hear the crack :( I thought her cheek was going to be smashed but it was not. She cried and the whole thing was just horrible. She was okay after I was able to calm her down though. Then as we were leaving, there was an employee standing by the door. She told Piper goodbye and Piper told her, in a very loud and matter of fact way, "We are going to Home Depot"!!! It cracked me up :o

Another great day :)
Then we went to go and try Miniature Golf. Piper has never played before but I figured she would have fun. The stupid thing was closed though, and looked pretty ragged anyway. We decided to go bowling instead. Piper was really excited about that, she loves bowling :)
It is another beautiful day today, so we are going out to play :)
