Busy days and funny stuff.

We went to my baby sister Bridget's wedding this last weekend. Bridget looked so pretty and so happy. Piper and Tiffany were both in the wedding. Piper was a flower girl and Tiffany helped the flower girls stay on track. Here are the girls at the wedding.

Lately it seems I have been telling Piper "Moomies just know these things" a little too much. A week or so ago Piper and I were coming home from town. I pulled into the garage and went around the car and opened her door so she could get out. She said "I wanted to get out sissys side". I told her "I'm sorry sweetie, I didn't know" (See where this is going??) She told me, obliously fed up with me "I thought you said Mommies just know these things"!!!
Now this morning on the way to school there were two flaggers on the sides of the road. After we had driven by Piper said to me "That sign said SLOW". I asked her if she knew that because she had sounded it out. She replied "No, little girls just know these things"!!! That girl is a total riot :)

On to the photos...

Tree climbing and other cool stuff :)

Piper really likes to try and climb trees, but she is a little scared. She did really great today though. I caught it on camera....

She is starting to sound out words and right them. Here she wrote "By Piper" But she sounded it out and so wrote it "BI".

And a photo Piper drew for me...

This morning...

This morning Piper told me "Move it or loose it Grandma"!!! I said, "But i'm not old" and she told me "Thats your story"!!! That cracked me up.

Piper wants to be a pirate for Halloween :)

Kind-of a rough day.

Piper and I had a hard day today. She is normally a pretty good girl, but today was just one of those days. I think all the mother who read this can relate :) So I figured I would just post some of my latest photos of Piper. I have gotten some nice ones in the last few days.

Here she is modeling her cute outfit in front of a lovely sunset we had a few days ago...

And here she was just looking pretty :)

We gave our two rats, CoCo and Daisy, a bath a couple of days ago. I had put them into the pool earlier in the summer. They did not really enjoy that, but the water was deep and not really warm. I figured they would enjoy it more with warm water that was only a couple of inches deep. I was wrong :)~ They did not enjoy it any more this time than they did the first time around. Here is a funny video of daisy jumping for her life, LOL.

The other night I was snuggling Piper on the couch before her bedtime. She looked right into my eyes, touched my cheek, and said "You are beautiful Mommy"!!! Isn't that just the sweetest??

Drawings and other random things.

Piper has always loved to draw. I took some pictures of a couple of her recent drawings because I thought they were pretty Good. I will put what they are at the bottom of the post so you can try and figure it out :)
Here is #1...
And #2...

Piper and I were outside playing the other day and there is a "rock wall" type thing that Piper likes to jump off of. I have to catch her because it is several feet high. But I cannot catch her AND take photos :) So I took some of her jumping off the smaller one a little further down. I though there was some cute captures :)

And I took this one while we were playing in the sand...

Piper cleaned her room all by herself for the first time a few days ago. Really she just picked the toys up off the floor and put them ALL on her train table. But it is a good start. She was super proud of herself and I took a few photos of her on her "Bear Skin Rug". It is really stuffed, but it is super cool. She really likes the thing. Some of those turned out really good too.

Now this last photo is currently my very favorite. I took it with my phone at the dollar store. I wish the tag was not there, but I still think it is a really adorable photograph of Piper :)

**And the drawing answers are**

Tiffany and Pipers photo shoot.

Tiffany is my oldest daughter, she is 14. She has been with us most of this summer which was just so nice. The night before she had to leave she set up this little photo shoot of Piper. Tiffany always gets fantastic photos and I wanted to share a few of them :) Enjoy!!!

A singing baby and a black eye.

I was able to get Piper to sing part of her favorite song today while I recorded her. She sings a lot but usually won't let me record her while she sings. So here she is singing "I guess that's why they call it the blues" by Elton John. Do you think it is as cute as I do??

Last night Piper was doing a little "Spying" where she sneaks around and tries to not get noticed. Well she ended up hitting her eye socket, just under her right eye, on a doorknob!!! I knew it was bad because there was a mark right away :(  I hoped that she would not have a black eye this morning, but she did. It hurts me everytime I see it :(  Poor baby!!!

Crazy new game.

Piper has a new game she makes her sissy, Tiffany, play with her. It is called the "dead body game". No I am not joking. The game goes like this. Tiffany pretends to be dead in the bedroom and Piper takes a flashlight and finds her and then investigates. Kinda creepy huh??

Last week we got a card in the mail for Piper from the mall kids club she is a member of. She asked me what it was (this was after she had just played the "Dead Body Game" with Tiffy) and I explained to her that the next time we were at the mall we would take in the card and she would get a birthday gift. She very excitedly replied "(Gasp) Maybe it will be a REAL dead body"!!!

What am I going to do with this girl??

Piper turned 4.

Yesterday was Piper's 4th birthday. I cannot beleive she has gotten so big!!! We had a fun day. We made our own cake for her and she got to do most of that herself. She loves cooking so that was really fun for her. She liked licking the batter too :) She is just growing so fast. Here are some of the photos I took of her on her big day...

Piper is so funny...

A few days ago piper got a blister in between her big toe and the next toe over. She got it from her flip-flops and called it a "Blinter". She kept talking about it and everytime she would mention it she would do the little "qoute" sign in the air. That was pretty cute.

Last night Piper, Tiffany and I were all sitting in the living room watching TV and Piper checked for her "blinter". It was gone and that was a big deal. She pointed it out to us and said"Look, my Blinter is gone. Wow, I'm lucky as hell"!!!

I about fell off the couch laughing :o

Slacking off... Again!!!

Piper and Tiffy just playing around...

In the new, very cold, swimming pool...

Turns out I am not the best blog writer. But we have had a lot going on here too. I will try and pick-up where I left of last time.
On the weekend of June 19th my Mom, sister Bridget and Tiffany all came over. Tom Petty and Joe Cocker were going to play The Gorge Amphitheater and we all had tickets. This was going to be Pipers first concert. The concert started at 7:30 and we got there about 5:30. We just had general admission seats and so we wanted a good spot on the lawn. We all had a blast and Piper was a hit with everyone close enough to see her. She danced and had a great time. I didn't want to lose my good camera so we all took disposable ones and I still don't have the photos back. But there will be lots of great photos posted here soon.

Tiffany is here for the summer now and Piper is thrilled. We have been going to the park and playing outside quite a bit. We also got a new pool so that has been fun too. I have so many great photos, but I will post a few of my favorites below :)

Piper just being silly one night with me...

And running throught the sprinklers the first day it warm enough to do it...

Jumping of the mantle :)

Waving goodbye to her Daddy in the outfit she picked out...

I did something to make her mad. She gave me this lovely look :o

Weekday Update

Piper just now said the funniest thing. We have on Scooby Doo, like most every other day lately, she loves it) and Piper turns to me and yells "BOO". I pretended to be really scared and said "Why would you scare me like that". She replies "I wanted to scare the hairs out of you"!! HeHe.

About two days ago Piper and I were on a walk and I told her we needed to get home because we needed to go to the store. She wanted to stay on the walk and complained and asked why we needed to go to the store again. I told her there were a few things we needed. She said to me "Yeah, I need a new fishing rod". I asked her why she needed a new one as hers is brand new. She replies "Mine is broken, It won't catch any fish"!!! :D Funny girl.

On to a few new photos...

Our new word...

Yesterday Piper and I were on our way into the store. Parked in the parking lot was a truck with a dog in the cab. I pointed it out to Piper and she did her normal "Aww". She then said to me, "It is sooo Cute-iful". So thats our new word. "Cuteiful". I think she is "Cuteiful"!!!

And then last night she drank her bottle before bed. I told her we needed to go brush her teeth and she told me "But I am cold. I need to warm off first". I thought that was pretty cute too.

We have been enjoying the sun. Here are some cute new photos...

Grammy's visit.

My mom came to visit last weekend. It is always so nice to have her here. Usually when I am on the phone with her Piper will ask after I hang up, "Is Grammy on her way here"? So I know Piper was excited too.
Mom and I went to the store one afternoon and I went to get us all drinks. Well the lines were all very long and it took me forever to get back over to where they were browsing. When I got back my mom informed me that I had been gone so long that she asked Piper "Where did moomy go off to?? Timbuktu"?? And Piper replied to her "Yeah, or mabe Timbuk-three"!!! We got a really good laugh out of that one.

On tuesday our new sneakie snake arrived. She had a long trip from Ohio. I thought she would be about as big around as a pencil. She got here and is SOOO much tinier than I ever thought. She is about as big around as a ponytail holder and is only about 6 inches long. Ah, but she is just far to freaking adorable. You know, if you like that kind of thing. I know snakes creep mom out. But I just love her to death already. Big brown eyes and little bitty flicking tongue. So sweet. She is a garter snake. I have not named her yet. Any ideas??
Her colors are already beautiful. And as she gets older, they will become more vibrant.
Squirmy little girl didn't wanna get her photo taken :)

For everyone who reads this that are not my mom, here is the story of my original "Sneakie Snake". I was seeing a man who had a young son. He was 7 or 8 at the time. (The son, not the guy I was seeing :o LOL) The boy brought home two garter snakes he had caught earlier that day. I have never been scared of snakes, but I did not want to keep these because I was afraid they would die. I just didn't know enough about them. But we went ahead and kept them anyway. I ended up totally attached to the one I called Sneakie Snake (after a childhood snake toy). She was perfect. I took her to town in my purse. She ate from my hand only. She actually was out wandering around the house often. Mom loved visiting then, HaHa. But she got cancer. I took her to a vet who ended up doing surgery on her. That gave her an extra 6 months or so, which I was very happy to have. But she died in May of 2004. It took me a long time to feel "ready" to have a new snake. Here she is about January of 2004...

She was my beautiful girl. I will always miss her :(

So that is all for now :)

My funny girl :)

Piper came up with the funniest stuff yesterday. It was a beautiful day, over 70 and sunny. We had lots of running around to do yesterday. One bank to close an account, one to deposit into. To the park, the store, and just have fun.

At home before we even left the house, I said something to her, I cannot even remember now what it was. But her response was "HaHa, Flash in the Newspaper"!!! I am pretty sure she means "Newsflash" but it was so hilarious. I have no idea where she came up with that one.

Later in the afternoon we visited a great park in town. It is our favorite now. I just found it this week. She used to call the seeding dandilions "wishes". There were a few of them around the park and she wanted to blow them. But she is calling them "Willy-Nillys" now. I thought it was pretty cute.

Later we went to Dollar Store, Lowes and Home Depot. We got some cool stuff at Dollar Store. They have Luau stuff now, I guess since there is not a holiday right now. But we got Piper a Lei and a grass skirt. She wore them at home and she looked super cute :)

We went to lowes after that. We usually spend quite a bit of time there. We were looking at the outdoor furniture and Piper ran around behind the chair I was sitting in. Her shoes slipped on the slick floor and she fell. She smashed her right cheek bone and left arm onto the concrete floor really hard. I actually could hear the crack :( I thought her cheek was going to be smashed but it was not. She cried and the whole thing was just horrible. She was okay after I was able to calm her down though. Then as we were leaving, there was an employee standing by the door. She told Piper goodbye and Piper told her, in a very loud and matter of fact way, "We are going to Home Depot"!!! It cracked me up :o

Another great day :)

Yesterday it was almost 70 degrees here and there was no wind at all. It was just really beautiful. Piper and I were out on the town again. We went to a new park that has a really cool castle type play structure. Piper really loved it there so we will be going back there again soon.

Then we went to go and try Miniature Golf. Piper has never played before but I figured she would have fun. The stupid thing was closed though, and looked pretty ragged anyway. We decided to go bowling instead. Piper was really excited about that, she loves bowling :)

It is another beautiful day today, so we are going out to play :)
